Holiday card; Christmas card; Basic Invite card
As I have learned, it's never too early to work on your Christmas cards. Actually the earlier the better- one less thing to do as the craziness of the holidays gets near!

I've mentioned this many times before, but I just love ginger jars!

I wanted to share our fall front porch before fall slips away and it's officially the Holiday Season!

A few weeks ago I attended a baptism for my cousin's daughter down in Orange County. If you remember I hosted her baby shower back in March. In the weeks leading up to the baptism I told my cousin I wasn't going to be able to make it due to a few other commitments. But I had a trick up my sleeve... I was flying down to surprise her!! One of my other cousins told everyone she was going to the store but she was really picking me up at the airport. It was such a surprise to everyone when I walked in the door!
The next morning was the Baptism followed by a luncheon. I ended up wearing a wrap dress, nude wedges and a classic clutch. It was perfect for a family event!

It was a such great weekend spent with family! XO

Happy Friday! I have the day off work which makes the day even sweeter! A few of my favorite things from the past week:

We've been working hard in the back yard all summer making a few updates and planting lots of new plants. It's great to see some of our hard work pay off in the way of new blooms on the hydrangeas!

Have you heard that Rifle Paper Co has come out with a new fabric line?! The fabrics are totally gorgeous and at great prices too. I can imagine this one recovered on a accent chair and this one made into a little girls' ruffle dress.

This week was our annual block party and I made a pineapple upside bundt cake. It was my first attempt at a bundt cake and I think it turned out pretty good!
I used this recipe.

My summer tablescape. Love all the bamboo accents! The napkin rings were a thrift find in Maui and the chairs were a birthday gift.

What is everyone up to this weekend? After several weekends of travel we are keeping it low-key. And looking forward to watching the Olympics tonight!

Well hello there! It's been a busy summer over here and I'm happy I finally get some time to share some of the things I've been up to!

This dress has been my go-to outfit of the summer. The temps have been over 100 degrees pretty consistently for the last week or two and the lose fit plus lightweight cotton make it an easy choice. Perfect for running errands on the weekend or a happy hour on the back patio.

Do you have a 'go-to' summer dress?!

Last week I had a few extra days off work so we decided to take a fun little trip to the coast. We woke up early on Wednesday and drove down the 101 to Cambria.

We stayed at the most adorable little Inn by the ocean. They have this boardwalk which was pretty long and great for walking. The weather was absolutely perfect!

There is a Elephant Seal rookery just a few minutes away so we had to check it out.

Look all of them! Don't be deceived they are actually huge; the adult males can get up to 16 feet and 5,000 lbs!

We then spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out at the beach in front of the Inn looking for moonstones and enjoying happy hour.

The next morning we drove a few minutes down the road to Hearst Castle! It was absolutely stunning.

The castle is located in San Simeon on the top of a hill overlooking the ocean. And fun fact, the Hearst family sold off some of their property back in the day to my husband's family!

Dress // Bosom Buddy Bag
The spring is a great time to visit as all the flowers on the property are in bloom.

I absolutely loved the indoor pool! All the tile work was so beautiful.

Everything was just so over the top. It would have been so fun to be an invited guest back in the castle's heyday.

Bosom Buddy Bag

I seriously took the Bosom Buddy Bali Bag (in X-Large) everywhere on this trip. It was the perfect size for my large camera, a sweater, sunglasses, wallet and makeup. I love that the ribbon and motif are totally customizable. This one has a aqua, lime green and white stripe with a starfish (a little nod to Hawaii) but they have so many color options to choose from. Make sure to check out their website.

Hearst Castle

If you are ever taking a drive down Highway 1 Cambria and Hearst Castle are worth a stop! Next up is San Luis Obispo and Pismo Beach.
PS. And because it's Master's Week (are you watching?!!) here's a few little signs I made in the past and plan to recreate this weekend for our viewing party!

Happy Monday! I hope your Easter was lovely.

Dress // Shawl // Wedges // Tassel Wallet
I ended up picking this dress for Easter Sunday service as the colors reminded me of an Easter egg! I paired it with my gold shawl for a little shoulder coverage and gold pep-toe wedges. I choose the Bosom Buddy Bags 'Colored Zippered Wallet in Turquoise Croc-Sand Dollar' but ended up using it as a small clutch.

lilly pulitzer dress

It was perfect! The inside was roomy as I was able to fit my phone, car key, lip gloss and money easily. The color was an exact match to the accents in my dress but the gold sand dollar and tassel charm really was the icing on the cake.

 Have a great week! XO

Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a lovely week. Looking forward to Easter this Sunday!

I entered a photo contest with Bosom Buddy Bags (a brand that I LOVE) with the prize being a fab Easter basket full of goodies and I would love for you to vote for me!
Just look for this photo and my name, Andrea F. You can click HERE or if you prefer, you can go to the Bosom Buddy Bags Facebook page and find the contest there.

In the coming weeks I will also be showcasing several BB bags with different ways to wear them. AKA outfit posts! I'm really excited to be partnering with them and I can't wait to show you what I've come up with. Stay tuned!

Have you all tried any of the new arrivals from Lilly?! There are so many pretties out right now!
I especially love the new Betsey top; the fit is extremely flattering. The new southern charm colorway is beautiful too!

Have you heard of the Eagle Cam? There are two cameras in the nest of a pair of bald eagles who recently hatched babies! It's really interesting to watch and the bald eagle chicks are beyond adorable!

Patio season is upon us!
I'm continuing the Lilly theme in the backyard (remember our Lilly for Target umbrella?!) with the Lilly flamingo pillow to match our pink flamingos! And some cute outdoor Lilly wine glasses (similar, I found these at TJ Maxx!). I also hope to plant some plants this weekend and do some sprucing up back there over the next month or so.

What are you all wearing for Easter?! I have two dress options and I'm not sure yet which one. It's either the Mila Lace Shift in Coconut Jungle or the Lyssa Shift in Shrimply Chic. I'll report back next week or you can find me on instagram in the mean time!

Linking up with A.Liz Adventures!

This Lenten season has flown by and it is already Holy Thursday! As we prepare for Easter this weekend I wanted to share with you our table and a little décor.

Since we are hosting a brunch I thought I would keep it simple and go with a pink and green theme.

For the menu I am planning to make a lemon bundt cake, a quiche, croissants and of course a little mimosa bar.

I absolutely love the font and the quality of these napkins. They are from Monograms, Etc (which I have posted about before) and she has a fabulous selection at great prices.

The table is pretty small so I like to keep it clutter free until right before we eat. I'll be bringing out some of our beautiful crystal though!

In the corner of the kitchen nook is this little built-in which displays my teacup and kettle collection. I added this fun little bunny banner to the front.

What are your Easter plans?! Are you hosting this year? XO

Do you ever feel like your house is in a constant shuffle? I moved a plant to the living room for more light and it created a domino effect where I ended up moving about 10 other items all over the house to make up for it. I moved my favorite bamboo chair by the bookcase in the dining room and realized that my new pillow matches the color of the bookcase perfectly. Such a happy little accident and now I am totally loving everything in it's new place!

Nothing like a little spring rearranging! But that means that next up is the dreaded spring cleaning.
Have you done any spring rearranging or cleaning yet??!

Happy Friday!! I have been exhausted from work lately and I am really looking forward to relaxing this weekend! A few things from my week:
This Saturday (3/12) is one of my favorite events of the year, Lunch at Lilly. I remember in years past when you could actually win a lunch/trip to the Lilly headquarters to meet Lilly herself. Nowadays its just a gift with purchase sale, but still good none the less! Is anyone trying to get the bike?!
lilly pulitizer
I've got my eye on a few dresses for Easter, the Tessa shift dress in 'Green Sheen Fronds Place' and the Raegan Fit & Flare dress in 'Resort White Happiness Is'. I also think the Karlie Wrap Romper would be so fabulous come summer!

I got the most perfect pink monogrammed napkins from Monograms, Etc right before Valentines Day and used them at the brunch I hosted for my friends, but of course I forgot to take good pictures of the whole setup. I'm looking forward to setting our table and decorating this weekend in preparation for Easter and I hope to share pictures next week!

A sweet friend I met through Instagram started up her own business, called Oh Shello selling the cutest shell necklaces. She customizes the colors of the beads for you and they are a perfect match to Lilly!
I have been wearing mine non stop!
Links I love this week: A coworker sent me a video to a Ted Talk a few days ago about how to raise brave girls. We obviously don't have kids, but it spoke to how I could be brave myself. Also if you watch make-up tutorials you might find this video on 'Trumping' extremely funny.. and yes, it is about how to get Donald Trump's 'look'.
Recently, CWF's family put together an exhibit and talk at the local museum about their history in the area.  The turnout for the talk (about 50 people!) was fantastic and it was a really proud day for the family. Afterwards, I thought it would be fun (?!) to take a photo-op on this donkey in the yard.
As always, linking up with April of A.Liz Adventures for today's Friday Five.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! XO

It's been quite some time since I shared my current favorite beauty products. One of my goals for 2016 was to look more put-together for work. With the big 3-0 looming I wanted to look a little more professional and I've found some great products that have been a huge help.

Beauty Favorites
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush- I choose the 'Exposed' color and it is a great nude shade that lasts the whole workday.

Eucerin Gentle Hydrating Cleanser- This is a great everyday face cleanser that I use in the shower. It also works great with my Clarisonic.
Erborian BB Crème- This is one of my favorite products. I have it in the 'Clair' shade and I've found that it really adapts to your skin color. I've never used a BB crème before this but I am a total convert now. Not only does it provide excellent coverage and moisturizes; it also has SPF 20!
Eucerin Intensive Repair Foot Crème- Another Eucerin product that I swear by. During the winter my feet get dry and this crème really saves the day. It is extremely moisturizing without being too heavy or sticky feeling.
Anastasia Brow Definer- I've actually never used a brow pencil before and I was told this one is a great one for beginners. I have the 'Taupe' color which seems to be a great light color for blondes. I like that it has a slanted tip so it makes it extra easy to apply. It also has a brow brush on the other side and I use that to blend in the color. Just by quickly filling in my brows each morning has really helped 'up' my professional look.

L'Oreal Infallible 8HR Pro Gloss- I picked this up after a recommendation from a friend and since then I bought it in another color because I liked it so much. I have the 'Glistening Berry' shade as well as the 'Rebel Red'. The 'Rebel Red' color is very red so I just apply 1 coat at work, but if I were to go to happy hour I would apply 2 coats for a more fun look. The 'Glistening Berry' color is also a great everyday shade. What I love most about them both is that I just have to apply it once in the morning and once after lunch and it looks great all day.

Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Deep Pore Cleansing- I've mentioned this clay mask in the past and I just started using it again. I forgot how much I loved it! You can really feel it working and it makes your skin extra smooth.

What beauty products are you loving right now?!?!

Lately I've been super into instagram flash sales of curated vintage goodies! Think pineapples, pagoda napkins, foo dogs, brass elephants, lots of ginger jars and faux bamboo. Umm, right up my alley!

Have you got caught up in the instagram flash sales too??! Any favorites? Please share!

Since the weather has felt a little more spring-like and our Camilla tree has been in bloom I've been spending more time in the backyard. I recently received these fun monogrammed cups from the Etsy shop Sequins and Lipstick and they have been great to take out to the patio!

monogrammed cups

Seriously our Camilla tree though! Our backyard is a pink explosion right now.

Loving the gold diamond monogram design that we choose, but there are so many options! I've always wanted a set so I could use at the many parties we host throughout the year (we will definitely be using them at my upcoming Kentucky Derby party too!).  I have about 30 wine glasses that I've collected but I found I just don't use them when hosting because of all the clean-up involved. These are top-rack dishwasher safe so clean-up is a breeze.

gold monogram cups

I've already used them at a girls brunch I hosted two weeks ago, then at my cousin's baby shower last weekend and many happy hours on the patio in between!

pink Camilla tree

The flamingos were from our wedding photo booth. A little funky; but they add a fun touch to the backyard.

Such pretty little flowers! Wishing you all a lovely Tuesday.

Now that spring is just around the corner, I've been on the hunt for a chic new pair of flats to wear to work. Even though my office is pretty casual I like to look put together and these D'Orsay flats seem to be perfect. I can imagine them with my new favorite pair of ankle trousers (only $25!) for now and with skirts and dresses later.

Save: Talbots for $90 // Splurge: Loeffler Randall for $250

Which would you choose?!

This past weekend was my cousin's 'A Brunch for Baby' shower down in Orange County. I previously posted about the planning process (here) and it was so great to see everything come together! And now, I am so excited to meet that sweet baby girl!

The 'Mama-to-Be'. Doesn't she look glowing?! I even made her flower crown.

A close-up of the table arrangements. For all the paper goods for the shower we used Tiny Prints. I love that they have so many coordinating options. We continued the scalloped theme from the invitations on to these 'Wishes for Baby' cards that we placed on each table setting. We also ordered pink ombre 'Thank You' stickers from Tiny Prints for the top of the favor boxes. Using the favor boxes on the table really helped to fill up the space.

Shower guests enjoyed filling these out and I know Christine will enjoy reading them for years to come.

baby shower favors
The favors were mini bundt cakes.

baby shower backdrop
The biggest challenge we had with the space was that 1. we didn't have a lot of set-up time and 2. that we were unable to hang anything on the (ugly) walls. My solution was to use foam board and lean it against the wall. I painted the board light pink, added the crepe paper flowers (by making holes in the board and pulling them through) and a balloon 'baby' banner to top it off. It worked out great and had a huge impact in the space!

I also whipped up several chalk signs. The secret to nice lettering is to use a chalk pen.
brunch party
Since the theme was 'A Brunch for Baby' it wasn't complete without the brunch themed food. We had assorted pastries, a pear salad, fruit kabobs and several different flavored quiches.

baby shower cake
And we can't forget about the cake!

These personalized napkins from Tiny Prints were perfect to serve the cake with at the end of the shower.
