Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. My cousin invited me to Ebay day (she works there) at the San Francisco Giants game on Saturday. It was a blast! Before the game, there was lots of food, drinks, games, a photobooth, and rockwall all set up tailgate style right outside the stadium.

I love the view of the SF bay from the stadium.

I don't know about you, but I always have a really hard time dressing for sporting events. We aren't the biggest sports fans (except for golf) and I don't own any team shirts. This is what I came up with:
Giants colors are orange so I wore my Devon Baer tunic from last year. I loved the tucked in look with jeans and flats. It ended up being totally perfect!

Cat Commands

I spotted this fun cat-themed dishtowel at Antro recently and I've been dying for it ever since (I know, I know, I'm a total cat lady now). But I couldn't stop laughing about it- if you have a cat you will understand!

In other news, Mr. Kitty loves his monogrammed Pottery Barn pet bed that we received at my bridal shower. I have to make sure everyone in our household gets their things monogrammed! ;)

Have a great weekend!!

Wedding Wednesday- Menu + Programs

I didn't have many decorations at our wedding because both the ceremony and reception venues had so much character already. However, I wanted the few things I did use to not only compliment the space, but be beautiful in itself.
I ordered both the menu and programs from wedding paper divas. They weren't in the same 'suite' but because I changed the fonts and colors to be consistent on both they coordinated well together. I loved the final result and received endless compliments.
The menu:

I used the ticket trim and the preimum double thick matte paper. The guests were sitting at the table for a long time so having good quality paper was important. And the best part was they were a perfect match to the flowers!

I loved the touch of light pink on the programs:

I also loved that I was able to make unlimited changes to my design at WPD. It took me at least 10 times going back and forth to get the font, color & size exactly how I wanted but I loved the final result.

DIY Headboard

Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. My grandparents came into town for a visit and we had a blast! It was so nice to spend time with them. Unfortunately no Lake Tahoe for us because of a huge fire up there (and terrible air quality), but we were able to make a headboard for our new queen size bed in the master.
Here's the final result:

I think it brightens up that dark wall behind it and really makes a statement in the room!

The two pictures above the bed are from IKEA a few years back.

It was a lot of work but still do-able. I wanted a tufted look but we didn't have a drill so we used pegboard instead of plywood. Because we did pegboard though we had to frame it with 2x4s to make sure it was sturdy.

The total cost of the whole project was around $80 (a steal compared to the ones I've seen online!)
Home Depot
Pegboard - $18
2 2x4s (cut to size) $6
Screws - $2
JoAnns (I used multiple 50% off coupons)
Foam (I used an king size mattress topper folded in half) - $30
Linen fabric - $6
Batting - $13
Buttons - $5
Things I had
Staple gun w/ staples
Electric Srewdriver
I combined two online tutorials (this one and this one) for the project. They did a good job explaining it all so I wont do that here. Please feel free to message me with any questions.
A huge thanks to my grandparents for making it happen and making extra unnecessary saw cuts just for me! XOXO

Brass Pineapple

I shared this little brass pineapple picture on my instagram (@mrs.andrealee) a while back and it was quite a hit. It was a thrifting score so I have no information about where to find your own, but I did find many similar ones on Etsy (just search brass pineapple).

For our wedding we received a beautiful pineapple cutting board (everyone knows we love our time in Maui) and I thought it might be fun to add a few more pineapple touches to our home. I found that one of my favorite online stores High Street Market carries a few timeless brass pineapple decorative objects:

Wedding Wednesday- Megan + Dan

Are you getting sick of my wedding posts yet? Well, I thought I would mix it up and share today about our good friend Megan's wedding from this past weekend. I loved her rustic theme and all her little details!
I'm a total sucker for a well thought out table setting:
The setting was a flower farm. So stinkin' cute!
With my good friend (and my bridesmaid Sarah) waiting for drinks. I wore a Lilly Pulitzer Maxi dress (similar) and it was perfect for a late summer wedding!
Loved the flowers and the hobnail vases!
And of course the adorable cake and all the macaroons!

They are the sweetest couple and we are so excited for them!!! Congrats Dan and Megan! XO

A Little Quiet Time

It's been go, go, go around these parts lately, and I couldn't be more excited to spend a little quiet time up in Tahoe this weekend relaxing with my family.

I took this picture last month (where has the time gone?!) on another trip to Lake Tahoe (first on a bachelorette party then hanging with the other side of my family) while kayaking. It's so pretty and peaceful and just good for the soul that I can't wait to get back!

Wedding Wednesday- Our Wedding Video

My cousin Alison (left) was totally awesome and put together a little video of our wedding.  I seriously don't know how she managed to be both a bridesmaid and capture our day. Thank you times a million Alison!!!
