Monogram Swap!

Awhile back I participated in the monogram swap hosted by Social Sara and Probaly Polka Dots! I just can't resist an opportunity for a pretty monogrammed gift!

I was paired up with Social Sara and she got me this Lilly Pultizer Chin Chin travel mug!
Seriously LOVE! I can already invision drinking coffee from it on a cold winter morning dreaming of summertime!

She sent it wrapped up so cute, but I was so excited that I ripped it open before I snapped a picture. But thank you Sara! Such a sweet gift! And I love that we got each other the same thing!! #greatminds

Maui Wardrobe

It's seems like everyone has fall on their mind, but since this time tomorrow I will be laying on the beach in Maui I'm still all about summer!!
I love putting together my 'Maui wardrobe' of all my summer favorites and wearing them to our favorite dinner spots! Here's a few things I'm packing this year:
Sheridan French Dress // Sail to Sable Tunic // Tory Burch Beach Coverup // Gretchen Scott Tunic // J.Crew Pineapple Bikini // Lilly Pulitzer Let's Cha Cha Dress (similar)
So I hope you can excuse me for a while; I'll be sipping on Mai Tai's and enjoying paradise!

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a lovely weekend!
Thank you all for entering the Harriet Ann Creative Giveaway!
...and the winner is Nancy! Congratulations!
Since I don't have much to talk about today, here are a few outfits from my most recent NYC trip:
pink blazer: j.crew factory (old) // Dress: H&M
Dress: Lilly (old) // Sandals: Tory Burch

Jacket: J.Crew // Skirt: J.Crew // Chambray: Old Navy (similar)

I've heard that once you turn 27, are unmarried, with no children and have a cat you are automatically a crazy cat lady, so I figured I might as well embrace it and throw a party for Mr. Kitty's 5th birthday!Honestly, I can't think of a better reason to get dressed up, decorate, invite all my friends over and drink lots of wine on a random Wednesday night!
The invite I sent out via Paperless Post:

The table for drinks and utensils
Mr. Kitty looking quite dapper in his bowtie (and maybe slightly annoyed)

CWF frosted the cat cookies. I found an Abyssinian cookie cutter on esty (but they have most all cat and dog breeds!)

Cake from Whole foods, too bad his name is Mr. Kitty!

Macaroons and chocolate covered pretzels!
 Mini sandwiches too!
About to 'blow' out the candle!
The trick to a successful party with a happy cat is to feed him cat treats constantly!! Haha! I have to admit this whole thing was a bit ridiculous but all in good fun!

PS. Don't forget to enter the giveaway! Ends tomorrow!!

I had a little free time one recent afternoon and I decided to work on a little craft project in my office/closet/craft room! I decided that my bookshelf that I'm using to store my purses and now shoes needed a little updating.
It was a hot mess before. Totally disorganized and purses were on display that I don't even wear. So I put everything I don't wear(or like to look at) in bins in the closet and de-cluttered the whole thing.
It's embarrassing that I even posted this! ekk!
My little DIY:
I spotted this cute shelf liner at Marshalls for $5.99 and thought it would be perfect on the back of my bookshelf! I only ended up using one of the rolls with some to spare for the whole project.
Since the liner is already sticky all I had to do was measure and cut. Easy peasy!
The actual sticking on was a bit more difficult, but because the paint of the bookshelf was a gloss I was able to peel off and rearrange until I was happy with the placement.
And I am beyond thrilled with the results!!

Such an inexpensive and fun way to make a big impact!!

Monogram Mania

I've had monograms on my mind lately. There are just so many different options out there! Here are a few of my favorite monogrammed items from etsy:
This wreath would be just perfect on any front door!
Monogrammed pillows would compliment any girl's bed!

A monogrammed tote would be great for the beach! I've been loving on the more traditional block monograms lately.

Monogrammed J.Crew chino shorts?! You had me at J.Crew!

How fun would a large wood monogram be? You could add a bow and paint it a fun color!

What monogrammed items have you been crushing on lately??

Bachelorette Party Favors

For the bachelorette party I went to last month, I put together fun beach-themed tumbler favors for the girls, and we all drank out of them all weekend!

For the tumblers, I purchased a variation of this listing and had a monogram on the front with "Sarah's Bachelorette Weekend" on the back.

I filled the tumblers with a bunch of beach & bachelorette goodies:
1. Bandaids (for blisters from heels)
2. A tan towelette (so we could all have a nice glow)
3. Mints
4. An elastic hair tie I made (use Katie's tutorial)
5. Mini sunscreen
I was super happy with how they turned out and the girls LOVED them!

My Best Friend's Wedding Weekend

A few weeks ago my best friend Sarah got married in Lake Tahoe! I wanted to share some photos I took so we could remember all the fun!
The bride and her maids at the rehersal dinner!

This chocolate mousse is what dreams are made of

Opening our gifts from the bride!

She got us all matching robes to wear while getting ready the day of the wedding! And monogramed champange glasses!

The groomsmen gifts were equally as thoughtful; engraved wiskey glasses with wiskey stones!

Final goodbye before they become Mr & Mrs!

A bear that was a few feet (!!!) from our patio!

 Wedding morning mandatory starbucks!

In the process of getting ready!

Matching white robe!

Being silly!

 Sorority sisters!

 Jimmy choos!

And we are off! Heading to the ceremony!

The back of her wedding dress was stunning!

Hope you all enjoyed a peak of Sarah's special day! XOXO
