Junior League Gala

This past weekend, I attended our Junior League's 70th Anniversary Gala held at the Crocker Muesum in Downtown Sacramento! It was an absolutely fabulous time!
I know I talked about wearing a Lilly dress, but after speaking with a few other girls attending I decided on this Elizabeth McKay dress!
I'm so glad I did! Such a beautiful fabric and print.

A few full outfit shots before the event:
Lilly Pulitzer Shawl // Shoes: Jimmy Choo // Necklace: J.Crew

Getting ready for a fancy event like this is really half the fun! I loved getting my hair and makeup done!

Tory Burch: Summer Essentials

It's Tory Burch's Friends & Fan's Sale! Which means 25% off everything in the store and the perfect time to stock up on summer essentials.  Here are a few of my favorites:

What items do you have your eye on?

Tipsy Skipper Clutch

A while back a Junior League friend brought her Tipsy Skipper clutch to a meeting and I instantly fell in love! So adorable! Of course, I had to get one myself!
The perfect happy hour accessory!
A few of my favorite prints:
I love that you can personalize it with a band and a monogram if you wish. I think it would make a great bridal shower gift!
Do any of you have a Tipsy Skipper clutch?

Lace and Pearls

Do you ever have those nights when you just can't decide what to eat? That was us last night.. it took us over 2 hours to decide! CWF and I can be soo indecisive at times and last night was no exception. We ended up having a late dinner at our favorite fancy place but you know you've got trouble when the other option is burgers at In n Out.
I had no trouble picking out an outfit though! An older Lilly shift with lace and pearl accessories.

Dress: Lilly Pulitzer // Belt: Lilly Pulitzer (bow belt minus the bow) // Pearl Wedges: Kate Spade // Pearl and Bow Earrings: Kate Spade

 Close up of the lace!

Unfortunately for us we will have to eat out for a while- I got into a kitchen accident a few days ago that involved a knife, the ER, and a few stitches.  Needless to say I'm on a cooking 'break'.

Spring Swap

A while back I participated in a Spring Swap hosted by one of my favorite bloggers, Lindsay from Turtles and Pearls.
The premise of the swap was to get your partner a few goodies that reminded you of spring! I was lucky enough to have a fellow Lilly Lover- Lindsay as my partner and I seriously loved everything she got for me!

I'm a sucker for cute desk supplies and I know the notepad and stickies will get a lot of use! // Pretty pink and turquoise baubles! I wore the pink ones just as soon as I unwrapped my package! // And a Lilly picture frame, Lindsay knows me too well!! I've already found the perfect spot for it in my closet/craft room.
Thanks again Lindsay! I was paired with my other favorite blogger, Rachel from A Preppy State of Mind so hop on over there to see what I got her!

Look for Less: Monogrammed Duffle

I'm a big fan of the 'weekend getaway' and CWF and I usually have at least a few weekend trips planned every month.  Because of this, having the perfect weekend bag is very important to me.  The monogrammed duffel is my current bag of choice.
I've found 2 bags that are nearly identical with a substantial price difference!

What bag do you take on weekend getaways??

Gala Dress

In a few weeks, I'll be attending my Junior League's Anniversary Gala. Since it's Black Tie Optional I think I'll go with something I'm more comfortable in- a Lilly dress!
Here are my two options:
Seamus Dress

Kelby Dress
My Jimmy Choo's!
I think I'll have CWF wear a Navy suit and a bowtie similar to this:
Which dress would you choose? Or would you opt for something long?

Tour de Closet

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend! Adam Scott, anyone?!
I've decided that I might as well share the pictures from my closet/craft room. I kept putting it off until it was 'perfect', but I can see now that it's constantly a work in progress and it may never be perfect. So please don't judge too harshly!
Purfume area, see tray tutorial here
My grandpa built the bookcase that I store my purses in.  Since it's a bookcase, it doesnt exactly fit my purses neatly- but I make do becasue I love it so much! I plan on repainting it and eventually using it in a kids room (a long time from now!).

My jewelry storage- velvet displays are all from Michaels (use a coupon!) and the other black pieces are from home goods.

Shoe storage- The white shelves are from Target and there are 4 total here. I plan on hanging a few more shelves above for my nicer shoes.

The rafia organizers are from Pier One (on sale!)

Love this little display!

My sewing machine (folds under the table) and a little bead makeing area.

 My actual closet:
Right side: Shirts on top (attempted color coordination) and pants and skirts below. Also on the left side is my scarf basket.

Dress section. In the winter I also store my coats here. I hang up my belts using the little sticky hooks.

My grandpa also made this hope chest, and I hopefully this summer I'll get around to repainting it too! Currently it's storing my shorts and workout clothes.

Hope you enjoyed!! Let me know if you have any questions as to where to find things or if you know of any closet room must-haves!

Sail to Sable

I'm pretty much obsessed with Sail to Sable these days.. they offer classic tunics in cute color combos!
The perfect tunic for an al fresco dinner by the lake!

And in case you're interested, we were at one of our favorite local resutraunts- Hawks in Granite Bay.

White Lace Skirt

I'm kind of obsessed with this recent outfit:
Skirt: J.crew // Top: J.crew // Bag: Longchamp

You can bet I'll be wearing this outfit all spring long!
I'm linking up for My Style Monday!

Striped Espadrilles

Espadrilles are really the perfect spring transition shoe. They go well with both pants and skirts and bring a bit of spring to otherwise winter-y outfits!
I've been loving on my striped collection lately!
Left: J.Crew // Right: Marshalls

Here's a few other striped pairs I have my eye on:

What shoes are you wearing as we transition to spring??

Easter {Pink & Green}

I hope everyone had a lovely Easter!
My Easter Sunday Church outfit:

Skirt: Lilly Pulitzer // Top: Elizabeth McKay // Sweater: J.Crew // Chanel Bag

Every Easter (and Christmas too!) my dad would always buy me an extra special outfit to wear to church. Now that he's no longer around, I like to keep the tradition going by getting something new and it's something that I look forward to each year!

Some Easter basket goodies!
