My Camera

For Christmas I received a DSLR camera (Nikon D5100) and I've had so much fun playing with it! More recently, for my birthday I got a new lens- 35mm and I could not be more in love! The lens really creates the perfect background blur (even on auto!) and was exactly what I was looking for.

My other favorite part of the camera is my monogrammed Lilly strap from Broward Patch on Etsy!

The Look for Less: Bows on Toes

I love bows and I love shoes, so naturally I love a nice peep toe pump with a bow on it!
I was recently checking out the Nordstrom anniversary sale and I found a pair of bow peep toe pumps that are almost identical to a $800 Christian Louboutin pair that I've been admiring (from afar) for quite some time now.
Louboutins // Nordstrom (on sale for $70 now!)

Which ones would you wear?!

Home Snapshots

I love our home and I love that most of the items in our home are antiques from both our families, but somehow it all works perfectly together. Here are a few of my favorite spaces:

Bathroom vanity

Little nooks in our entertainment center:

Both pieces of coral are from my Great Grandmother. The blue glass is from CWF's grandpa and the cash journal was also from CWF's family and is from Bishop Ranch in the old days

My dad's flag, CWF's grandpa's clock, CWF's great aunt's ivory elephant
Bedside table
Gold table is from my grandma, more coral from my great grandma

My favorite curtains with 'just enough' puddle, table was my grandma's

Old seal from Bishop Ranch

Of course Mr. Kitty hiding behind our plant

Fireplace mantle (both jars are from Hobby Lobby LOL) but the picture is of the SF bay in the 1800's

A lamp from my dad
If you think we have a lot of antiques, you should see my mom's and CWF's parent's house! It is full of bay area history/heirloom pieces! And actually after CWF's grandpa passed most of his things were donated to a local museum for display.
Hope you enjoyed! What are your favorite spaces in your home?

What I Wore: NYC Afternoon

Amanda C. Bee

I recently received the most beautiful illustration of CWF and I from Amanda C. Bee!  Since it's from  our May NYC trip, it will be a perfect reminder of our wonderful vacation!
It was originally 2 different photos- we were actually standing in front of the blue door at Per Se and we had another of us in front of the Central Park fountain. I really liked the idea of blending the 2 photos together! And I LOVED how it turned out!
I think this would make a wonderful bridal shower/ wedding gift as her prices are very reasonable (the largest size is less than $100) and she does the illustration from a photo.
I can't wait to frame and hang it! XO

Weekend in NYC

I've been such a busy bee lately! And to make life more complicated/fun I'm jetting off to visit my cousin in NYC this weekend! My packing inspiration:

Shirt // Shorts // Goyard Bag // Sandals // Raybans

Bachelorette Weekend

The bridesmaids and I headed down to sunny San Deigo for Sarah's Bachelorette Party weekend! We had such a blast! A few pictures from the weekend:

Me- Lilly dress // Sarah- J.Crew dress
All the girls!
We stayed at Tower 23 in Pacfic Beach which was super nice and right on the water! It was also within walking distance to tons of restraunts, bars, and shopping!
 Relaxing on the rooftop deck!
The view from our room!

We went to the Pacfic Beach fire station as a part of the scavenger hunt, and they loved us! It's a must do!!

Have you ever planned a bachelorette party??!

My Favorite Summer Sandwich

In the summer we try to BBQ as much as possible to keep the house cool. So, this BBQ chicken sandwich is one of my summer go-to favorites!
1 chicken breast- BBQed
Pepper Jack cheese
Sourdough baguette
BBQ sauce (Since I grew up in the east bay- Kinder's is the only kind I'll eat)
Cut up your ingredients, BBQ your chicken

Slather on the BBQ sauce
 And the finished product:
Perfect with lemonade and a side of sweet potato fries!
